Viewing your artwork

Your painting from the Painter of Rhythms is a one-of-a-kind, original work of art. There is not another like it on the face of this planet.

Each piece of art that David Slatten creates is inspired by a select piece of music. He listens to the song over and over, becoming lost in the depths of the music until a vision begins to form and only then does he apply paint to the canvas. While listening to the song, David lets the music take over every subtle nuance of the artistic creation of the painting. From the delicate brushstrokes of a classical soft violin to the aggressive splatters rock and roll snare drum, every instrument, every voice, every beat is captured in each of his paintings. Your painting is no different.

Because your painting was created to music, it is best viewed with the music that inspired it. Your painting comes with a CD copy of the song that inspired it and it is recommended that you take the time to view your painting with the music playing. While your artwork is beautiful by itself, with the music playing each brushstroke takes on a life of its own. The colors come alive and literally dance on the canvas. You will find more depth and more meaning throughout the life of the canvas and discover new and more significant components of your painting each time you view it. Keep your CD on standby and play it when friends or family come over so they too can experience the true depth and significance of your artwork.
